Hope In God

“With God All Things Are Possible” Matthew 19:26

Since the day I found out I would be a single parent, God has been there for my daughter and me.  I remember crying out to God that I could not do this parent thing without him.  Here I was broke, alone and completely overwhelmed.  Somehow I knew that if I asked God for help He would help me.  God did help me.  He provided all my daughter’s and my needs for the last 18 years. 

When my daughter was a baby God provided a way for me to be home with her and earn an income by watching other children.  As she got older I worked at her preschool and summer camp in the complex where we lived.  When she was going into first grade and summer camp was ending, I became overwhelmed of where I would work.  I could not afford a car and did not want to worry about having to get her back and forth to daycare.  That day I went into deep prayer.  While I was in prayer a deep peace came over me.  I knew God would help me work and still allow me to be a mother that could be there for her child.  Three days later I was offered a job in the office of the apartment complex where we lived.  The offer allowed me to work flexible hours to put my daughter on and off the school bus.  The offer also included full time benefits because I was working 32.5 hours per week.  God provided a way for me to work, not worry about transportation and not worry about putting my daughter in  daycare.  The bonus is I didn’t even apply for the job!

With God there is a way.  He has all the answers to all of our problems.  All we need to do is ask and believe God will help us.  My daughter could have been a statistic coming from a low income, single parent home.  Instead God was there to help.  She graduated high school with honors, sixth in her class, and is now happy in college.

Are you facing an impossible situation?  Do you feel helpless and alone?  Reach out to God.  Ask Him to help you.  He will take hold of your hand and your life.  He will never let go.  You will never again, be alone.

Dear Heavenly Father,

I place in your hands all people facing impossible situations.  Help us to know You are there to help.  Help us to know with You, there is a way and an answer.  Hold us Lord, like a Shepherd holds a baby lamb.  Wrap us in your peace.
